TWO TONED:

“So, it’s true then. No one is ready when it comes to things like that, so you’re not alone. We all say that about retirement, but life is a tricky thing, you never know what can happen to you, especially in our line of work. I mean look at me”, Colby gestured to his knee with a small frown on his face. “I’m visiting friends, am I not allowed to do that now? I wish I was interrupting something, but no. Paul has some news for me, something about doing a movie while I’m away. Wanted me here so we could talk about it.”

“It is definitely true,’ She replies with a sadness in her voice before she shrugs and looks towards the man with a frown on her face. “Life is tricky sure, but your injury came at a terrible point in your career. At least you can get back into the game.” She adds, thinking briefly about her husband before continuing, “And well.. A movie might be interesting. But I’m sure you’d rather be out here, wrestling.”

TWO TONED:

It was his first time being at ‘Mania and not performing, ever since he debuted with Jon and Joe in 2012. It was a weird feeling, because last year he became champion on the grandest stage of them all, and now he’s recovering from a major knee injury. Thank God he was free from crutches, ‘cause they were a hain in the ass to begin with, and his knee was feeling a lot better. Colby was wandering around the arena, saying “hello’s” to everyone, when he spotted Brie sitting all alone. He heard the rumors about her retiring, but never though that they would be true. Now he has a chance to ask her himself. “Hey there”, a small smile tugging on his lipsas he made himself comfortable in a chair next to the brunette, “what’s got you so deep in thoughts? Thinking about leaving this place to get bigger and better things?”

“Yes.” She replies without preamble, her mind still wondering if she could truly leave. “It’s my last match today. I’m not ready. No one is ever ready, are they? I always said I’d leave because I could wrestle no more, and–” She breaks off here, shaking her head and looking at the man next to her. “What’re you doin’ here anyways?” She asks, a little coldly before slumping. “Sorry. You interrupting today or something?”

@thebvstinthewrld wanted some  {mvstrcurbstmp}

She had been sitting in the arena, watching as it was finished being set up. Today was going to be her last match and if there was one thing Brie didn’t know, it was how to feel about that. She wanted to continue wrestling, wanted to continue changing woman’s wrestling but – she wanted a family. Could she truly have both, or? So lost in her thoughts, she hadn’t heard someone coming up and sitting next to her. Not until they spoke, at least.
