“Eeep! I can’t wait! Oh yeah, that’s a good idea! It’s worth both of you getting the experience because it won’t just be you taking care of a little one. Not with both of you around.”
“Oh, he better be around to help me take care of a little one, or I’m going to have to kick his ass. And, we will have so much fun. Now I really want to get pregnant.”
“The playdates, the shopping, the everything, woman. It’ll be so much fun, I swear! And that’s wonderful, I’ll even get Daniel to come so he can experience it, too!”
“You’re right, you never know what’s going to happen. But, you know? It’ll all be fine anyways. With every bad comes good so… Things will be good. But, yeah, how about… next weekend? We’re going out on a date and we are going to need a babysitter.”
“Everything will always be fine, and we’ll always have one another to go to for mommy things, once the time comes.” She laughs, before nodding. “And sure, next week sounds absolutely fine.”
“I’ll definitely remember that. It’ll be Mommy 101! It’ll help you be that much more prepared when the time comes… or things can go really bad. Hah, but I know you’d be a great mom! And a great babysitter too.”
“Mommy 101 certainly sounds like a marvelous plan, you know. I’m sure things will go both good and bad, because that’s life, right? Things going in ways we would never expect. And yeah, I like to think I’d be a great Mom. Definitely a great babysitter!”
“Oh god, yes. I am so tired but, you know what? It’s so worth it. Even if I feel like a zombie whenever she wakes me up! —But hopefully it’s soon for you. I know how much you really want little ones.”
“Well, whenever you and your man need a night off and you don’t want to ask the in-laws once more, you just come to me and I’ll watch her, okay? I’ll be needing the practice, at least.”
“She’s great! Beautiful and perfect like always. You absolutely have to come visit her; she needs to see her auntie Brie! —But, I have to ask, when will I become auntie Rosa?”
“Are you tired? Is she constantly keeping you awake like the books all say? Honestly, she’s so beautiful, so a visit will definitely be happening soon! And, honestly? No idea, not yet.”
